CKC is a nonprofit initiative integrating teaching kitchens and Food Is Medicine with clinical care, research, and community partnerships statewide.

Our Vision

To make healthy food, practical nutrition skills, and lifestyle medicine accessible to every Coloradan — regardless of income, zip code, or background — through hands-on, evidence-based education that connects healthcare, culinary arts, and community.

Operating under the umbrella of B2 Health Solutions, LLC, CKC envisions to scale across hospitals, clinics, schools, and community centers.

Who We Are

The Colorado Kitchen Collaborative (CKC) will bridge clinical care and community well-being. Inspired by the national Teaching Kitchen Collaborative, we unite healthcare professionals, chefs, educators, and local growers in an ecosystem where food becomes both medicine and connection.

Our Approach

CKC uses teaching kitchens — physical, mobile, and virtual — where participants learn to prepare nutritious meals, practice mindfulness, and build sustainable habits that improve long-term health outcomes.

Integrating culinary education into prevention and management for obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and cardiometabolic risk.

👩‍🍳 Experiential Learning

Hands-on classes led by chefs, dieticians, and physicians - designed to improve cooking confidence, nutrition literacy, and self-efficacy.

🏥 Clinical Integration

Embedding teaching kitchens within care pathways, shared medical appointments, and employee wellness.

Culturally tailored classes; partnerships with SNAP, WIC, and local pantries; community gardens.

Promoting sustainable food systems while generating data for policy change and reimbursement.

Hub: Central teaching kitchen & research center in Colorado.
Spokes: Satellite and mobile kitchens in community centers, schools, hospitals, and rural clinics.
